I have always been passionate about animals and have always had pets from dogs to rabbits, guinea pigs, birds and now Clint my bearded dragon. My first dog Pepsi was a Labrador x German shepherd and she started my enthusiasm for dog training – I have pictures of me from a young age showing off her tricks.
All of my dogs have taught me so much and I have enjoyed every moment spent with them. My collie x Labrador Jessie got me into agility training and when my collie Buddy came into the family I got stuck straight in with the puppy training and we also worked up to grade 5 at agility. My current dog is a Labrador called Pepper and it was my puppy classes with her and Rachel that has brought me to start the process of learning to become a dog training instructor.

I have had a few different careers from optometry to vet care assistant at an emergency vets and have worked with animals since 2018. After completing my masters in animal welfare and conservation in 2018 I’ve been working as a zoo keeper since 2019. I’ve worked with lots of different species including goats, meerkats and hyena.
Currently I am loving helping Rachel in classes and am undertaking courses with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers (IMDT) and will be working on becoming accredited with them and the Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT)
